Hard Hitting Gives Gethsemane the Win
The Gators scored 9 runs in their season-opener against Pilgrim on Tuesday. Led by the on-target pitching of Steven Taradash, the Gators followed up by pounding in 8 runs in the first three innings, then buckling down on defense to secure the win.
The Gators scored 4 runs in the top of the 1st, and held the Panthers to only 1 run in the bottom of the inning. They struggled in the bottom of the 3rd inning, when after scoring 3 runs, the fielding seemed to collapse and Pilgrim scored 4 runs on several errors.
The Gators will face off against Emmanuel next Thursday, September 10th in a make-up game.
